Accessibility statement
This website is built to WCAG 2.2 level AA. Here is what that means in practice, where we know we fall short, and how to reach us if something does not work for you.
Our commitment
Make IT Happen IT Services Limited wants everyone who visits make-ithappen.co.uk to be able to read it, navigate it and contact us, whatever technology they use. We aim to conform with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
What we have done
- A skip link, landmarks and a logical heading order on every page.
- Visible focus styles on light and dark backgrounds, and no keyboard traps: the mobile menu keeps focus inside it and closes with Escape.
- Colour contrast of at least 4.5 to 1 for text and 3 to 1 for controls.
- Text that scales to 200 percent without loss of content, and layouts that reflow down to 320 pixels wide.
- Animation that honours your reduced-motion setting, and a pause control on the moving client list.
- Captions and a text transcript for the Meridian film, and no content that flashes.
- Form fields with visible labels, clear error messages announced to assistive technology, and no time limits.
Known limitations
- The Meridian film has captions and a transcript but no separate audio description track. The narration describes what is on screen.
- Some diagrams are decorative illustrations of the text next to them and are hidden from assistive technology on purpose.

If you find a page hard to use, or need any of our content in another format, email lets@make-ithappen.co.uk or call 01252 360312. We aim to reply within two working days and to fix genuine barriers quickly.
How this statement was prepared
This statement was prepared on 3 September 2026 after a self-assessment of every page with automated checks (Lighthouse and a structural verifier that runs before each deploy) and manual keyboard, screen-reader and reduced-motion testing. It is reviewed whenever the site changes materially.
